APDM Releases New Mobility Lab Gait and Balance Analysis System

 In Health, News, Mobility Lab
APDM has released an all-new version of the most trusted Gait and Balance system on the market, Mobility Lab.

With new high-precision algorithms and an easy to use interface, gathering Gait and Balance data has never been easier or more accurate.

For years, APDM wearable sensors have shown to be ideal for quantifying human movement for movement disorder research and measuring mobility. The Mobility Lab system is used worldwide for gait and balance analysis in numerous settings, and has been used in hundreds of studies and published in ground-breaking papers.

The new Mobility Lab provides comprehensive Gait and Balance analysis using APDM’s wireless sensor system. You can quickly and easily quantify objective measures in any location, in or out of a lab. Simply attach Opal sensors to a subject, select a gait or balance test, and press start. Within minutes, 30+ objective measures are automatically generated and compared to normative values, allowing Clinicians and Researchers to save time and money while justifying treatment with an evidence-based practice.

Example metrics are Gait Speed, Stride Length, Foot Clearance, Circumduction, Heel and Toe Strike, Steps in Turn, Arm Swing Velocities, Trunk Rotations and more.
